Why carry water if you can roll it?

Mira Bangel

A Water Roller is a tool designed for water tranportation. Instead of carrying big buckets, one can simply ‘roll’ the water. Anyone can buy or distribute these rollers. Hippo Water Rollers have been developed and are manufactured until today in South Africa. One water Roller can serve 7 people directly. Watch how the Hippo water roller works:

For more information visit the Hippo Water Roller website.

Obviously there are different models available. See here how a similar but smaller roller works:

A friend pointed out that there is a similar looking model that was presente at Dragons’ Den, a British Entrepreneurship show. One of the shows was featuring this: http://www.thisisredbutton.co.uk/gallery.html

This model even filters the water when you push it. There is a pump mechanism connected to the wheel; pushing water through a filter. You get drinkable water as result. Thanks Martin!
